Wildflower mural being painted at La Crosse’s Main Street ramp

A new paint job is in progress at one downtown La Crosse parking ramp. 

The Main Street ramp is being decorated with very tall wild flowers, as part of a project recently approved by city committees.

Viroqua artist Natalie Hinahara designed the mural, which will be approximately 8 feet wide and 50 feet tall on the 3rd Street entrance to the parking deck. 

The project cost $6,572.

The same ramp also displays the “Helping Hands” mural at the corner of 3rd and State.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
