A fight inside at Mall of America escalated into gunfire yesterday afternoon, causing police to place the mall on lockdown for over an hour.

The fight between two groups started at the Nike store, around 4:15 p.m. according to the Bloomington Police chief. But, someone had a handgun, ended up firing three shots at the store, then ran away.

Police locked down the mall for about an hour after that.

No injuries were reported.

Police didn’t arrest anyone. They were searching for two young adult suspects.

The Bloomington chief Booker Hodges said, “Please turn yourself in. But should you choose not to, our officers, our partners, our detectives will not stop until we lock you up.”
