Turns out we do share some beliefs

Americans can’t seem to agree on much politically these days. It seems that on just about every issue, we’re split 50-50. We are either red or blue, with few shades of purple. It has been said that Americans are more alike than they are different, but it has been hard to see how. A new poll sheds some light on that. Turns out, according to recent polling, democrats and republicans are finally united on something. Anger. We are an angry bunch these days, which may explain why there are so many Karens demanding to speak to a manager. The poll, called The Morning Consult State of the Parties, finds that an almost equal number of democrats are angry about the November midterm elections for Congress. 42% of democrats and 41% of republicans said the word “angry” describes how they are feeling either “somewhat” or “very well.” That is not all we’re feeling. The survey also finds 61% of democrats and 49% of republicans are “worried” about the upcoming election.  Perhaps we are worried we won’t like the outcome of the coming elections, or maybe we are just angry with politics in general, and not looking forward to all the impending attack ads. Or maybe we’re mad that not much seems to get done in this country as the fat cats in Washington line their pockets. So together we are angry and worried as we await the election. At least we can agree on something.
