Spent the first part of La Crosse Talk PM talking about the homeless situation and, perhaps not related, the messaging around a person who died in Cameron Park last week.

Discussed the La Crosse School District consolidation plan some more, and how that will affect the city.

In relation to that — and homelessness — we hit on affordable housing in the city a couple different times and a couple of different ways.

And, somewhere in there, we discussed the state’s potential $6 billion budget surplus that’s been lying around since January, while the Legislature has been out of session the past nine months.
