La Crosse native Jordan Davis bounced back from two tough games to score eight points for the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team, in a 64-59 win over USC at the Battle 4 Atlantis finale from the Bahamas on Friday.

Davis combined to shoot 1-for-12 in scoring two points the past two games. Friday, he finished 3-for-5 from the field, 1 of 3 from deep and added three rebounds, an assist, a steal and no turnovers in 25 minutes.

Wisconsin (5-1), which was coming off an overtime loss in the final second against No. 3 Kansas, closed the game with a 10-2 run.

Chucky Hepburn did most of the damage there, with six of his game-high 17 points, capped off with a steal and layup with 10.5 seconds to play and secure the win.

Davis, who played a season-low 18 minutes against the Jayhawks, is averaging 6.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, while shooting 38.6 percent from the field and 23.8 from deep in 20 minutes a game.
