The La Crescent Police Department has created a Safe Community Camera Program.

It aims to partner with community members to register their home external cameras with the La Crescent Police Department.

If a crime occurs in your neighborhood, law enforcement may reach out to you to review the camera footage.

The program is voluntary and members can withdraw at any time.

La Crescent police will not have access to your cameras without your permission. It is only building a database of cameras in the city that can be used as a resource.
