La Crosse’s Davis, Badgers host Leigh in first game as Top 25 team

The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team looks for win No. 4 in a row Thursday night when it hosts Lehigh (4-4).

The Badgers (8-2) cracked the Top 25 this week for the first time this season, in at No. 22.

Their only losses this season came at the last second to then-No. 3 Kansas in overtime and by three points to Wake Forest.

La Crosse native Jordan Davis, who nailed a key 3 late in overtime Sunday to help Wisconsin beat Iowa, is averaging 6.4 points, 4.0 rebounds a game.

The 6-foot-4 junior is has started every game but is shooting just 38.1 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from beyond the arc.
