Snowstorm coming, could impact travel Thursday morning in La Crosse and well beyond
A lot of the snow from last week’s storm in La Crosse has melted, but there’s new snow on the way.
The National Weather Service La Crosse predicts that the city has a good chance of getting 4-6 inches of snow in the next two days, beginning later Wednesday evening.
The weather service predicts 1-2 inches per hour overnight and travel for Friday’s commute in the morning will be difficult.
The chances of heavy snow are better just north and east of La Crosse.
The storm last Saturday brought 5 inches of snow to La Crosse but, because of mild weather so far this week, that snow has gone down to 2 inches.
