Among the topics was bored scientists trying to determine how smart a Tyrannosaurus rex actually was. That was revelation No. 1.

Revelation No. 2 was entwined in a discussion about the “Great American Beaver Drop,” where Wilken enlightened us that beavers and donkeys don’t get along. Another part of our beaver conversation was how they’re wreaking havoc on parts of the country in the wake of climate change.

And, a couple different times throughout the show, we did got into space talk, including a green comet that will fly by Earth soon, new black hole info and how old — or young — the universe might be, thanks to the new James Webb telescope.
