As I See It

Stepping into the darkness to see the light

It sounds like a movie script. A man steps into the dark in order to see the light. That is what Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is doing this week. He stepped into a totally dark isolation chamber yesterday, where he won’t emerge until Thursday, when he hopes to be closer to a decision about his future in football. He could return to the Packers, with whom he is under contract, retire, or possibly play for another team. It has become a yearly decision. Rodgers hinted at retirement last year before signing a big, fat contract to return in the green and gold. It sounds like football fans just wish he’d get on with it already, and may be tiring of all the drama. In the comment section of a news story about Rodgers future are “It’s hard to be this annoying on purpose” and “Adam Sandler couldn’t create a movie character this ridiculous.” It is kind of hard to relate to Rodgers. We all face difficult decisions, many much more difficult, than trying to figure out what team to play for. But we don’t need to spend time in an isolation chamber hallucinating to hope to find the truth. Rodgers will be in isolation until Thursday, when he says he hopes to be closer to making his “final, final decision.” Let’s hope whatever he decides, it is his final decision. I don’t know if I can take any more of the drama.

Aaron Rogers is a narcissist and the sooner everyone realizes that the better.
He is a very god quarterback that has benefitted in being with a stable organization while the rest of the NFC north has been mediocre at best for his entire career. His first of two straight MVP years achieved lately was not earned. He went 2-4 against team with winning records and beat up either bad teams or good teams that had suffered a lot of injuries.
He rewards the fans who put him on an undeserved pedastal by maybe I will retire or play or play for another team for the last few years.
There are franchises that would not tolerate this behavior. There are cities where the writers would be unmerciful inn their scorn. I am beyond sick and tired of his antics . The best thing that can happen is that he comes out of his deprivation state, makes a statement and nobody cares
