La Crosse gets nearly 10 inches of snow, while parts of Minnesota were over a foot
The city of La Crosse managed to stay snowless for nearly three weeks into February.
Three days of new snowfall, however, has easily put the city above the monthly average for snow, which is 7.7 inches through Feb. 22.
La Crosse’s total from this week’s storm systems was 9.8 inches at the airport, which was the highest amount reported in La Crosse County.
Tomah and Necedah were among the towns in western Wisconsin to get 13 inches of snow.
The highest total in the region was found in Minnesota, at Reads Landing in Wabasha County, where the snowfall was an even 14 inches.
Towns south of Viroqua generally had less than 6 inches of snow.
