Wedding World returns to connect local businesses with brides and grooms
Meet with the area’s most talented and creative wedding professionals for an enchanting day full of inspiration from engagement to “I Do.”
Congrats, you’re engaged! Now what? There can be a lot of stress, but that’s where Wedding World comes in. It’s a day to celebrate future brides and grooms, and help network with businesses that will be a part of their special day.
Mid-West Family has been putting on the annual one-day event since the 1970s.
Over 50 local businesses will be at the La Crosse Center’s Riverside Ballroom and Terrace Sunday, March 5th for Wedding World. Booths cover a lot of the things couples will need for the big day: jewelry, formal wear, venues, photographer, planners, coordinators, catering, bakeries, entertainment, décor, and even health and beauty. Engaged couples can even book with some of the exhibitors at the show.
Z93 Morning Buzz co-host, Brittany Styles, said that booths will help with things that happen outside of the actual wedding day, too. “There’s a rehearsal dinner, bachelorette party or bachelor party, and showers. A lot of these vendors can help you with that as well. And then, after your wedding, maybe there’s a gift opening and you want to go to a different location for that. That’s part of this cool experience is that there is so much to celebrate that goes around the actual wedding day and all of these people are there to meet you and to help you out.”
Charlotte’s Bridal and Formal Wear will be putting on their exclusive bridal showcase for VIP ticket holders at noon. The showcase will feature the must-see 2023 wedding fashions and includes a complimentary mimosa, sweet treat, and private coat check for just $10.
VIP tickets are $10. General admission tickets are free. The event begins at 10 a.m. and runs til 2 p.m. For more info, check out the Wedding World website.
Emily Pataska, one of the managers at Charlotte’s, told Z93 they will have about 40 to 50 dresses. “Some of those are bridesmaids dresses as well. And we’re going to have menswear, too, with suits and tuxedos.”
What’s trending this year that will be in the show? Pataska said, “we are seeing a return of a lot of the more simple-style gowns, more of that clean look. Lace is still always a huge one and sleeves are super fun to showcase. We’ve been getting a lot of really fun floral printed dresses., so we try to showcase those not only in our booth, but in the bridal showcase as well.”
