Saturday’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade collecting for Hunger Task Force
Irishfest and the Shamrock Club invite the community to join the fun in downtown La Crosse.
The Irishfest St. Patrick’s Day Parade is this Saturday at noon in downtown La Crosse. It starts at 2nd and State, then heads up to Main to 7th Street. Along the route, the Hunger Task Force of La Crosse will be collecting food and non-perishable food items to fill their shelves.
The Greater La Crosse Area Shamrock Club has officially coronated their Irish Man and Rose, Pari Sexauer and Ann Nolan, and they’re ready to kick off the year with Saturday’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown La Crosse.
Nolan told Z93 she’s very excited for the year ahead after being made official at the St. Patrick’s Day dinner this past Saturday. Nolan said gets to “wave and look pretty” in the parade, and she is ready.
Tracy Mullaney – Shamrock Club VP, Irish Rose 2020/202, and Parade Chair – also stopped in to Mid-West Family for Irish Craic.
Mullaney said the community is invited to the post parade social at The Frieghthouse. Local Irish band, The Amadans, will be performing as well as the Irish Dancers from Amanda’s Academy of Dance. Freighthouse will also have Irish Fare including Corned Beef sandwiches.
If you’re not able to attend the parade but still want to donate, you can do so on the HTF website, and click “St. Patrick’s Day Parade.”
