It looks like one suspect in the shooting deaths of three men at an area quarry will be tried on schedule this June.

An attorney for Nya Thao tells Judge Elliott Levine that there is no negotiated plea yet in the case.  Thao has a two-week murder trial set to begin June 12th.

Thao

Thao and co-defendant Khamthaneth Rattanasack are accused of killing the men–Nemo Yang, Peng Lor, and Trevor Maloney–near West Salem in the summer of 2021.

Investigators say one victim owed several hundred dollars to Rattanasack, or may have stolen the money from him.

Rattanasack

Rattanasack does not have a trial date yet, because his attorney is still talking to witnesses. He will probably be tried separately, and he has a court hearing next week.
