Criminal charges have now been filed against a group of people reportedly connected to the death of a Jackson County man.  Just one of those suspects is charged with murder, and that’s Star Myers of Black River Falls, who first reported the man missing earlier this month.

Myers is accused of shooting the victim in the bedroom of her own house in the town of Manchester, and then hiding the body.  She has a court hearing in Black River Falls on Friday.

Four other persons are charged in connection with the shooting, or concealing the body.  Six people in all, including Myers, originally had been arrested after human remains were found at the alleged crime scene.

Authorities said Myers had called police two weeks ago, claiming the victim was missing, but other people later called and reported the shooting.
