Moore headed to trial on charge of supplying drugs that led to neighbor’s overdose death
A La Crosse man pleads not guilty to a charge of reckless homicide, for allegedly delivering drugs to a neighbor who died from an overdose.
Moore will need a court-appointed lawyer, since the attorney who represented him in La Crosse County court is withdrawing because of a large caseload.
In court on Thursday, Dr. Reade Quinton, a Minnesota medical examiner, said it appears the woman died accidentally.
“There were two main drugs that were contributors, both fentanyl and methamphetamine,” Quinton said during Zoom testimony. “There’s no way to necessarily separate which one contributed more, but both of them were contributors.”
La Crosse police investigator Andrew Tolvstad testified that Moore reportedly made frequent drug deliveries to the neighbor by meeting her at a fence.
The defense attorney for the preliminary hearing, Joe Randtke, argued that the evidence wasn’t strong enough to implicate Moore in the woman’s death.
He claimed the prosecution was automatically blaming Moore when they didn’t know exactly how something happened.

Moore Jr is innocent. ???? Was not in town the day the woman overdosed. Wasn’t the supplier.
