Fugitive wanted in Texas being held in La Crosse jail
A woman from Louisiana is jailed in La Crosse, after being arrested this week on a warrant from Houston.
Rajenaih Appling Allen was discovered traveling on I-90 near West Salem, Wis., on Monday.
Appling Allen is being held in the La Crosse County jail on $25,000 cash bond, while waiting to be sent to Texas to face a charge of aggravated assault with a weapon.
A warrant was issued for Appling Allen last July in Harris County, Texas.
The La Crosse County District Attorney has declined to charge Appling Allen with counts of possessing marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon.
Appling Allen turned 22 on Wednesday, and made an appearance in court before Judge Todd Bjerke. She’s due back in court April 19, while arrangements are made to send her out of state.
