Mayo, Winneshiek lifting mask requirements following reduced COVID levels in region

Masking requirements are being relaxed this week by a number of hospitals and clinics in the region. 

Starting Monday, Mayo Clinic Health System is dropping its requirement for face masks for most of its patients and staff. 

Mayo says cases of COVID-19 have decreased significantly over the past year, with low rates of infection at its clinic locations. 

In northeast Iowa, Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah and other locations will relax its masking requirements.
