Twenty-eight-year-old Tirzah Anglin of La Crosse is accused of stealing about $60 from a cash register, after forcing her way behind the counter of a Kwik Trip on Copeland Avenue last Saturday.

Police said Anglin’s weapon was actually a toy gun.

A criminal complaint said Anglin went into the store, carrying a cap gun, went around the back of the counter and yelled at the clerk to open the cash register. Anglin then took money from the register.

Two customers tried to hold the robber down, but she ran from the store. An officer in a squad car followed Anglin and arrested her in a nearby parking lot.

Anglin is in jail, on a $2,500 cash bond. She has been ordered not to carry weapons or anything that looks like a weapon.
