LA CROSSE TAL PM: Kids don’t play hide ‘n seek anymore?
Back from a week off, covered everything from kids not playing hide-n-seek anymore to WIZM’s Brad Williams meeting Danny DeVito to Wisconsin Republicans wanting to put 14-year-olds to work serving drinks.
La Crosse Talk PM airs weekdays at 5:06 p.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.
Saw a “get off my lawn” rant on Facebook about kids not playing hide-n-seek, which coincided nicely with some legislation proposed in Wisconsin by Republicans.
No, not the 14-year-old servers — get to that in a minute. This legislation would limit social media use for Wisconsin kids — essentially being the parents.
Before we hit on that, though, WIZM’s Brad Williams joined to start the show, talking about when he met Danny DeVito. Oh, and we also talked about some proposals going through La Crosse city committees right now — a duplex on Ward and a drive-thru coffee shop.
After that, we discussed the GOP legislation that would allow 14-year-olds to serve alcohol to solve what lawmakers like to call a “workforce shortage.”
Ended the show with a quick rant about how useless touch screens are in vehicles.
