Over 100 potential jurors in West Salem triple-homicide trial, which begins next week
More than 100 potential jurors could be called into La Crosse County court next week for the triple-homicide trial of of Nya Thao.
Thao is one of two men charged with the shooting deaths of three people back in 2021 at a quarry near West Salem, in an apparent dispute over $600, according to the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office at the time.
Two weeks have been set aside in Judge Elliott Levine’s court for the trial. Monday’s opening day is expected to be taken up mostly by jury selection.
Lawyers and the judge in a La Crosse triple-murder case are working out final details.
Thao’s co-defendant, Khamthaneth Rattanasack, is expected to have a plea hearing after Thao’s trial is over.

I know the family of josie D. . Not one comment was made that josie was a very abused woman by the father of those children. I knew this because I had spoken to her mother Becky several times over the years . Her mother told me she had been hit over the head with a bat and her thinking was not right . She continued To go back to him and be best continue
Her mother said she thought she had brain damage. By no way am I am saying it was right what she did but there’s more to the story then been said. I’m took care of her two older children jetliner and major in a daycare years ago.
