UW-La Crosse political science professor, Dr. Anthony Chergosky in studio Friday for La Crosse Talk PM to break down middle-of-the-night votes by the Wisconsin state Legislature, ending childcare funding, more conspiracy theories and how to teach kids to walk.

La Crosse Talk PM airs weekdays at 5:06 p.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.

Began the show, talking about some of the weirder stories in the news, including a person who left his family a million pennies.

Spent quite a bit of time on some state politics, including why Republicans would vote at 2:30 a.m. Friday to kill child care subsidy funding. We also talked about the GOP party’s state convention at the La Crosse Center, and a ridiculous email sent by the Democratic Party of Wisconsin in regards to that.

It was right around the second half of the show that the two conspiracy theories were thrown at Chergosky — one on Gov. Tony Evers showing up at the Republican’s convention and the other about the US Supreme Court.

We also had quite a bit of fun talking about ways to get Chergosky’s daughter to walk on her own, as well as a Reddit post about what purchases you shouldn’t go cheap on.
