Stabbing suspect taken to jail after one man is injured in the neck

A 41-year-old man has been jailed in La Crosse for a weekend stabbing incident in Holmen.

Police were called Saturday night to a house on Mill Street in Holmen.

There they found a 43-year-old man with a single stab wound to his neck. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

Two hours after the call, the suspect, Michael O”Brien, was arrested without incident.

O’Brien is charged with recklessly endangering safety.

Jail records show that 41-year-old Holmen was booked during the weekend, and is facing a charge of recklessly endangering safety. O’Brien is likely to appear in court Monday afternoon.
