Wisconsin Sen. Pfaff on tax cuts, road funding, childcare
Wisconsin state Sen. Brad Pfaff in the WIZM studio Monday for La Crosse Talk PM to breakdown some of the details in the soon-to-be-signed or vetoed state budget, including cutting childcare funding, who gains the most from tax cuts and transportation funding.
La Crosse Talk PM airs weekdays at 5:06 p.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.
A lot of the conversation hovered around the discrepancies in the GOP tax cut plan, where top earners see a sizable tax break and lower income get about $2.67 back a month. But does it make an impact on anyone’s lives?
We also talked about the Joint Finance Committee cutting a childcare funding and not implementing an equal replacement in the state budget — yet.
Pfaff also hints on some some amendments to the budget Democrats want to propose when the Senate votes on Wednesday.
We did take some calls, as well, including one about the a Town of Holland bridge being unusable right now and the plan to fix that.
