Police in La Crosse said a bicyclist was violently attacked in the street this month.

Police added they have video showing one of the attackers using the rider’s own bike to hit him in the head.

The incident happened two weekends ago — the same time as the drive-by shooting — in the area of Rose and Gould streets in north La Crosse.

One suspect, a 17-year-old, is now being charged with recklessly endangering safety and aggravated battery.

He could face nearly 20 years in prison if he’s convicted on both counts. He has another court hearing next week.

A video of the incident shows the attackers beating up the rider in the street.

Coincidentally, police said the attack happened the same night as a drive-by shooting on 3rd Street in La Crosse.
