At a critical time Wisconsin is bungling election administration

What a mess they have made in Madison. Our political parties are so at odds over how to administer elections, that the state’s Election Commission may not have anyone in charge by the next election. The Wisconsin Election Commission is made up of three Republicans and three Democrats. The commissioner is Megan Wolfe, whose term expires Saturday. The commission held a vote to reappoint her, but Democrats and Republicans split. Democrats want her reappointed, but Republicans are critical of the way she handled the 2020 election because she refused buy into election conspiracy theories. So what is next? Apparently, under some quirky law, even though her term is ending, Wolfe could choose to stay on, because no one has been nominated to replace her. Or she could leave, or somehow be forced out, leaving Wisconsin without someone in charge of our elections, even though four of our last six elections have been decided by less than a percentage point. Wolfe is one of the most respected elections officials in the country who has guided state elections workers in a very difficult environment to ensure our elections are fair and transparent. If they can’t even agree who is in charge, how are they going to agree on anything, like who won the election? Members of the Elections Commission need to stop their petty infighting and make sure we have an independent expert like Wolfe in charge of our elections.

I assume she was and is in favor of drop boxes to collect ballots. Didnt the supreme court rule them illegal. How can any person that is in favor of illegal voting activity be in charge of elections?

She DID NOT make sure our elections in 2020 and 2022 were fair and/or legal. The election fraud perpetrated on us by select areas of the state made sure that the will of the people was not carried out. Drop boxes are illegal, ruled so by the supreme court. We would be much better off if we go back to one day voting.
