Murder suspects in Jackson, La Crosse Counties due for court hearings
Court hearings are scheduled for homicide suspects in two area counties
Two people facing homicide charges in area counties are scheduled to have court hearings on Wednesday.
In Jackson County, Star Myers of Black River Falls may be formally charged with shooting her husband, Richard Bork, in her bedroom last March.
Myers and four other people, including her son, are accused of conspiring to hide Bork’s body. Investigators found the victim’s remains outside the Myers house several days after Bork was reported missing.
Also on Wednesday, a brief status hearing is planned in La Crosse for a teenager accused of killing a young girl, reportedly his niece.
The 16-year-old suspect has not been officially charged yet with homicide in the girl’s death. He has admitted to striking the victim in the face, apparently causing her to fall and hit her head.

As far as the Mayor saying let the homeless stay at UWL dorms or at Hillview has he learned nothing of the $100s of thousands of destruction they did at the motel they were put up in? And send them to county parks? What about all the people who’s yearly income comes from these camping sites? And when you go through downtown LaCrosse it is like the homeless apocalypse. Destitute people aimlessly walking the streets or sitting on sidewalks or standing on corners panhandling when there is a sign across the street from them saying HIRING! Something needs to be done NOW!
