Comedian Steve Hofstetter joins La Crosse Talk PM on Thursday, a week before his coming to town to perform. A comic who dabbles in politics, we threw Hofstetter some of the headlines coming out of Wisconsin and let him work his comedic magic.

La Crosse Talk PM airs weekdays at 5:06 p.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.

Some of the topics we threw at Hofstetter included Minnesota legalizing recreational marijuana and a first-grade teacher being fired, over the Dolly Parton-Miley Cyrus song Rainbowland. Hofstetter also had some funny analogies on the Constitution, as well as some of his Canadian experiences, as he wraps up a tour there.

He’ll be at the Cavalier Theater on Wednesday. Doors open at 7 p.m. Show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.

Also joining in studio, former Riverfest board member Brad Pitel. Along with talking comedy, Pitel discussed bringing big acts to the fest, and how he big timed one country music star — which may or may not have led to his no longer being on the Riverfest board #Sarcasm.
