Police identify woman found dead near a La Crosse nature trail

The woman found dead last Saturday morning, near the Bud Hendrickson Trail in La Crosse has been identified.

Julia Hedum’s body was found in north La Crosse on July 29th

La Crosse police said the body of 45-year-old Julia Hedum were discovered around 9 am by someone who was was walking their dog in the area of Cunningham Street.

Hedum’s death is regarded by police as an isolated incident, and authorities say there is no danger to the public.

Investigators would like information from anyone who had contact with Hedum between July 15-29.
