Pepsi throws a birthday party in La Crosse; Gillette Pepsi marks 125 years in business

The Pepsi-Cola bottlers in La Crosse are celebrating 125 years in business with a party on August 28th.

Gillette Pepsi is inviting the public to the company’s bash Monday afternoon from 3 until 6 p.m. The party takes place in the parking lot of the Pepsi building at 1900 West Avenue South, just south of Green Bay Street.

The food and drink will include barbecue, along with cake, ice cream, and (naturally) Pepsi products. The Children’s Museum of La Crosse will be serving those treats, and will receive donations from the event.

Also taking part in the Pepsi party will be the Coulee Region Humane Society, bringing dogs that are up for adoption. Entertainment will include live music, face painting, and bounce houses.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.

    #125Years is remarkable. I am awaiting my start date and hope to add my help in continuing with Pepsi,s already good business!
