Vending machines to give out fentanyl strips, NARCAN placed in Monroe County

Published

on

Several potentially lifesaving vending machines are going to be put throughout Wisconsin, through a near $1 million state grant program.

The machines will dispense the overdose drug antidote, NARCAN, along with strips that test for fentanyl in drugs.

The Department of Health and Human Services has given grants to local governments and community groups to finance the machines.

No machines will be brought to La Crosse, but the Monroe County Health Department will buy and install them in Tomah and Sparta.
