La Crosse teachers’ union president Jesse Martinez on new grading system, operations referendum, politics

La Crosse Education Association president Jesse Martinez joined La Crosse Talk PM on Tuesday to discuss a host of things, including a new grading system — standards-based grading — being implemented, and the positive affects of voters recently passing the operational referendum.

Martinez is a seventh-grade teacher of math and science at Logan Middle School. This is his ninth year teaching.

    A terrible interview that never addresses the fact that the current system of one si ise fits all teaching is a catastropic failure. The truancy figure explains this
