Unidentified man arrested in Independence after hit-and-run, who returned to scene to hit another
INDPENDENCE, Wis. — After a hit and run at a Welcome Bar in Independence, the person who allegedly committed that crime came back to the scene and hit another person before driving away again, according to a report.
The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office posted that callers also informed law enforcement that person had a gun. The initial call came in around 2 a.m. Saturday.
Deputies arrested the man with no apparent incident. A gun was not found.
Two ended up in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The person arrested at the scene was not identified in the release. The sheriff’s office added it is still under investigation.
