Kwik Trip confirms “cybersecurity incident” but doesn’t go as far as saying “hacked”
It hasn’t used the word “hacked” but Kwik Trip confirmed a disruption to its network was caused by a cyber-security incident.
The company’s vice president issued a statement saying the incident caused disruption to systems located on the company’s internal network on Oct. 9.
KT says there is no indication that any customer’s payment card information was compromised. The disruption targeted communications systems within the company, as well as the Kwik Trip loyalty program.
It says most stores are back up and running as usual and those that aren’t will be soon.
