UW-La Crosse football remains ranked No. 4, while UW-Whitewater right behind at 5
The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse football team remains No. 4 in Division III, after a 31-28 win Saturday over UW-Oshkosh.
At the beginning of the month, the Eagles (6-1, 4-0 WIAC) were ranked 14th in the country on D3Football.
Since then, they took down UW-Whitewater for the first time in 19 years, before beating UW-Platteville and now UW-O — which is ranked just outside the Top 25.
Meanwhile, the Warhawks have since crept back up the rankings and are now sitting right behind UW-L at No. 5. Also in the Top 25 is UW-River Falls at seventh.
UW-L, which set an attendance record with 5,414 fans last weekend, hosts UW-Eau Claire on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m. It’s the final home game of the regular season.
