The future of A.I. in Wisconsin to be studied by governor’s task force
Wisconsin now has a task force, which will study how artificial intelligence can help create jobs in the state.
Gov. Tony Evers has appointed 30 people to the new Task Force on Workforce and Artificial Intelligence, which will meet Monday for the first time.
Committee members include leaders in technology businesses and labor union members, along with the state school superintendent and the presidents of the UW System and the Technical College System.
A prominent appointee from the Coulee Region is Missy Hughes from Vernon County, the secretary of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
Evers first announced in August that he would put together an A.I. task force. In a news release, the governor said the group will try to advance workers, employers and job seekers as A.I. technology changes the workplace.
