Sen. Johnson worried about government shutdown, and what foreign countries could get help from Congress
Is Congress more concerned about Ukraine’s fight with Russia than about border crossings into U.S.?
US Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) thinks that’s the case.
Johnson said last week on WIZM’s La Crosse Talk that while most members of Congress support the people of Ukraine, he feels Russia is not going to lose the fight, so spending U.S. money in that battle wouldn’t help.

“People raise the issue that Biden administration Democrats are more concerned about Ukraine’s border than they are our own southwest,” Johnson said, “so there is definitely a move to tie any additional funding to Ukraine to real border security, to stop the flow, the massive flow of illegal immigrants.”
Johnson said about 6 million people either have crossed into the U.S. from Mexico illegally or have been caught trying, though he did not denote the time frame, he appears to be talking about since 2020.
Johnson criticized Wisconsin’s other senator, Democrat Tammy Baldwin, for votes against finishing a border fence. Baldwin is running for reelection in 2024.
Johnson said he has been leading an effort to avoid a government shutdown and some Democrats have joined his party in that funding plan, but he said that doesn’t include Baldwin.
“Our Senator from Wisconsin, Tammy Baldwin, voted against that, so apparently, she’s happy to continue to risk government shutdowns,” Johnson said, “so hopefully, Wisconsinites will hold her and other Democrats accountable.”

In Florida, authorities just caught a number of Chinese nationals trying to get into the country.
At the southwest border at least 1700 have been apprehended.
How many were successful?
What are they trying to do?
A Chinese firm with ties to the Communist Party is prepatring to build a plant in the US and receive hundreds of millions of taxpayer money in subsidies.
The media silent. The biggest threat to what is left of democracy in the US: THE MEDIA; at least the rioters on Jan 6th have gone to jail.

Nick, stop broadcasting this out loud. Don’t you know there is “prosecutorial discretion” that was implemented during the 2008-2016 era. The administration enforcement priorities focused limited immigration enforcement resources on risks to public safety and recent entrants, as opposed to people posing no danger to the public and/or with longstanding ties.
But don’t tell anyone that these folks are not migrating through the legal US entry points. These people are not abiding by the US laws, they are invading and cutting across borders.
So your coming out and posting this is making Uncle Joe and my policy difficult to continue implementing…so SHHHHH! Mums the word .
