La Crosse County Board members start preparing for April election

In some parts of the U.S., Tuesday is Election Day.

That doesn’t include La Crosse County this year, but board members there are getting ready for their next election in April.

All 30 county board seats will be on the spring ballot, as each board member serves a two-year term.

La Crosse County Board members have until Dec. 22 to decide whether they’ll run.

La Crosse County clerk Ginny Dankmeyer told supervisors Monday night that they don’t need as many nominating signatures as in the past — only 50 names on papers instead of 100.

Board members can start circulating the nomination papers that have to be turned in by early January.

Dankmeyer told candidates to be careful when filling out those papers.

“Be sure the top of that page is filled out fully and correctly,” Dankmeyer said. “Once you start collecting signatures, nothing on the top of that page can be altered.”

She added that signatures won’t count if the paper is changed.

      Kent,

Correct statement, in order to do that elections have consequences. You need to gather up everyone that know including friends, family, relatives and anyone that you work with, go to church with and have them attend the board meetings. Better yet run for office in order to effect change.

City council, county board, LX school board, all are controlled by progressive activists who should be replaced. The City, county and school district are all in a downward spiral.
