We’re exactly one week away from public comment sessions on the 2024 operating budgets for both La Crosse County and the city of La Crosse.

The county’s budget is around $200 million, while the city’s is at about $69 million.

The county’s public meeting happens at 5 p.m. next week Monday at the administrative center, downtown. The city’s meeting is an hour later, at 6 p.m. at city hall.

If need be, the city will hold a second session next week Tuesday at 6 p.m.

City of La Crosse Mayor Mitch Reynolds will be on La Crosse Talk PM tonight, and part of that conversation will likely hover around the budget process.

La Crosse County Administrator Jane Klekamp was on WIZM last week talking budget.
