Cody Anderson is facing six criminal charges for the Saturday afternoon incident.
Bond for Idaho man, who has relatives in Minnesota, was set at $500,000 in La Crosse County court Monday. The 31-year-old is charged with attempted armed carjacking, making terrorist threats and a bomb scare.
Police said Anderson rammed his car through the gate and onto the runway, before getting on a private plane, where those on the plane say he threatened to blow it up and and seemed intoxicated.
Anderson was also reportedly carrying knives.
Officers placed a Bearcat, military-like vehicle in front of the plane, so it couldn’t take off, before arresting Anderson.
In court, a defense attorney said Anderson has mental health issues, according to his mother.
Along with the $500,000 bond, Judge Scott Horne ordered Anderson have no weapons and make no contact with Colgan Air Services in La Crosse.
Anderson is scheduled back in court Friday.
