Sparta man charged with several counts of sexual assault against young children

A 20-year-old Sparta man is facing 13 felony counts, including multiple charges of sexually assaulting children under 13.

Damion Hernandez-Swenson was arrested last week in Sparta, and is being held in the Monroe County jail on a $250,000 cash bond.

The charges also include exposing children to harmful material and intimidating a victim.

He appeared before Judge Richard Radcliffe on Nov. 16.

Under bond conditions, Hernandez-Swenson is not allowed to have contact with anyone under 18, and must wear a GPS tracking device if he is released from jail.

He is ordered not to contact seven alleged victims of sexual assault.

Hernandez-Swenson is due back in court after Christmas.
