The body of a man has been recovered from a Trempealeau County lake, after he attempted to swim away from law enforcement and disappeared under water.

The county dispatcher received a call Tuesday morning about a suspicious man seen on Lake Court in Galesville.

Officers responding to the call found a man who appeared to be in a mental health crisis.
