Reckless homicide charge filed against Holmen resident in friend’s drug death
A Holmen woman could get close to 50 years in prison if she’s convicted of reckless homicide in a drug-related death.
Rachel Brockway made her first appearance before Judge Scott Horne on Wednesday, on charges which were filed back in April.
Brockway is accused of providing the fentanyl that caused the death of a male friend last February. She was convicted in previous La Crosse County drug cases in 2020 and ’21.
The judge set a $200,000 cash bond for the 26-year-old Brockway, after being told that she has failed to appear in court more than a dozen times. Her next hearing is on December 7th.
