Mayor Mitch Reynolds joins La Crosse Talk PM on Monday, could discuss multiple residential plans, north-south corridor, tearing down old Macy’s

Last week was committee week in La Crosse and Thursday is the monthly city council meeting.

Before that happens, however, Mayor Mitch Reynolds will be on La Crosse Talk PM beginning at 5 p.m. Monday evening to discuss some of the issues happening in the city, including items the two big council committees debated.

Accessory Dwelling Units is a strange name for one of those agenda items … but committees last week looked into allowing these unattached buildings on family properties to be converted into living spaces.

Also in regards to housing, Reynolds may again talk about different legislation in dealing with short-term rentals in the city.

There was also a plan to tear down the Macy’s and build a car wash, fast food joints and more parking.

And, late last month, WIZM heard from the Wisconsin DOT and its effort to continue looking into a plan for a north-south corridor in La Crosse.
