La Crosse suspect who allegedly killed a man by stabbing him 45 times, continues to seek defense lawyer
Two weeks after he was arrested for murder, Bryant Q. Smith of La Crosse is still trying to find a defense lawyer.
Smith appeared Monday before Judge Ramona Gonzalez and was given a new court date in early January.
There have been 31 attorneys contacted so far about representing Smith on the charge of fatally stabbing Timothy Salis back o nDec. 5 at the Stokke Tower apartments.
Smith said he stabbed Salis while being choked by him. Salis was found to have 45 knife wounds on his body. Both had been drinking.
The next court appearance for Smith will be on January 4th.

Good thing he has Romona Gonzlas for his judge. She will fine him 500 bucks and let him out !!!!!! Oh wait I forgot he’s white. Sucks to be you dude 500 hundred thousand bail and 30 years in prison. !!!!!!!!

All 45 wounds were to the victims back and the murderer had not a mark. He should have 500 thousand bail he has done nothing but seek out vulnerable people to abuse his whole sick life.
