Everything lost in a Christmas eve fire on Mankato Avenue in Winona.

The Winona Fire Department posted just before midnight the occupants were able to get out and no injuries were reported from the two-story home fire, that sustained water, fire and smoke damage.

A GoFundMe set up Cierra Walker said the occupants lost everything.

    I always wonder when this happens about insurance. Did the residents carry any? If not, why not?
    A policy provides coverage for building, contents and gives them money to live elsewhere.
