A case of group trespassing at a La Crosse shopping mall led to several people being taken to jail.

Five were arrested for reportedly breaking into Bridgeview Plaza on the north side to seek shelter.

At a La Crosse County court hearing Wednesday, at least one suspect was ordered to have no contact with the mall. A large amount of property was discovered in the restrooms, as well.

La Crosse Police discovered the five in the mall Tuesday, after being called about an apparent break in. Most of them reportedly were staying in bathrooms overnight at Bridgeview.
