Dr. Reade Quinton, a Minnesota medical examiner, performed the autopsy on the victim.

Quinton testified in La Crosse County court Tuesday that the man, who died last February, had fentanyl in his system.

The man reportedly had snorted heroin while in a store parking lot. The drug was allegedly supplied by Brockway.

La Crosse County, in 2023, set a record for drug overdose deaths with more than 50.

The 26-year-old is scheduled to enter a plea of not guilty at her Feb. 14 hearing.

She’s being held in the county jail on a $200,000 cash bond.
