Not guilty plea made by La Crosse murder suspect in shooting death of stepfather

Alan Fry pleaded not guilty Monday to the shooting death of his stepfather.

The 41-year-old waived a preliminary hearing in La Crosse County court.

Judge Gloria Doyle found probable cause to try the La Crosse man for 1st degree homicide and possession of a firearm.

Fry is accused of shooting Brady Fredrickson multiple times at a house on Farnam Street on Jan. 18.

Fredrickson had multiple gunshot wounds. Fry is suspected of firing up to 10 shots during the incident.

He remains jailed in La Crosse, under a $750,000 cash bond.

Fry’s next court appearance is scheduled for the end of April.
