La Crosse Airport continues process of finding new full-time director
The city of La Crosse is getting closer to hiring a new airport director, to succeed Ian Turner, who has taken a similar job in Idaho.
The city aviation board has a meeting scheduled on Monday, where board members will get an update on candidates to succeed Turner, who left La Crosse in January after five years in charge of LSE. Deputy director Lauren Koss has been promoted to interim director, while the search for a full-time administrator proceeds.
Board members may also review passenger numbers at the La Crosse airport for 2023. The monthly passenger totals dropped last June, when Delta Airlines ended its regular service to La Crosse, leaving American as the only airline offering daily flights in and out of the city.
